2016 Kia Sedona: Seat Features

2016 Kia Sedona Minivan Seats 8 People
Third Row seating is always a big feature people look for when shopping for a minivan. Even if a minivan can seat 8 people, not all minivans make it convenient to switch between cargo and seating. Welcome to the 2016 Kia Sedona! The Kia designers have eliminated the need to remove seating in order to maximize cargo space. Hooray, less of a pain on mom and dad plus easier on the kiddos and passengers.
The 2016 Kia Sedona is the perfect vehicle for you if you are looking for a family size vehicle. With a combined MPG of 21, this vehicle offers great versatility with the back two rows. If you have a family of 3 or 8 the Sedona’s back two rows have the capability to virtually disappear. The third row has a Fold-in-the-floor feature that allows you to fold a portion of the entire row into the floor which provides a great amount of cargo space.
If you need even more space for luggage or just a big trip to the grocery store the second row offers a Slide-N-Stow feature that allows you to move the second row up against the front seats. This is a special Kia feature. Many competing minivans require the removal of the second-row seats in order to utilize this space. And this is a lot of space 142.0 Cubic Feet of Cargo Space. Now that is a lot of groceries!
With these two features being used simultaneously the cargo space from front seats to rear hatch quadruples. This gives you the freedom to fold down all of one side to slide in lengthy objects alongside your passengers or packing it full for moving day without worry of the elements.

I just bought a 2017 Kia Sedona that has latches on the floor for the second row tuble seat ,does the latches on the floor mean it should’ve had the tumble seat ? Where can I get the leather tumble seat and whats the cost ?
I’m going to send you an email, it is easier if you send a photo, I want to make sure we answer your question properly. – Anne Kelley
I loved my 2011 Sedona and someone totalled it so we replaced it with the 2016. They removed all the features I loved except the back seats still fold into the floor…but not flat so you can’t slide stuff.
The fuel gauge and low fuel light are placed NEXT to each other. I guess in case I keep looking and can’t read the gage. When I sit in normal driving position, I cannot see either of them. I had only ever run out of gas once before I bought this.
They replaced the cool tray that could fold down for space and could actually hold my stuff with a console that is awkwardly sized and shaped. And the middle seats don’t come out. The 2011 they folded up to the front or you could remove them.
Two and a half years later, I still miss my van!
Jeanne- Thank you for your comment on our blog. We apologize that Kia manufacturing removed your favorite features. Unfortunately, as a dealership and not the manufacturer, we have no way to give this type of feedback. Please call 1-800-333-4542 and let Kia know the features you want to be brought back to the Sedona.
So just to confirm I have the 2016 base Sedona model. The 2nd row outer seats are not removable? Thank you
Hi Rose, This is correct.
Is the middle seat on the second row removable?
Hello, yes the middle seat on the 2016 Kia Sedona is removable.
