Replacing The Battery in a Swing-up Kia Key

Is your key not working anymore? You may need to replace your battery. Follow these simple steps to learn how to replace your swing up key battery.
Follow these instructions to change the battery in the swing-up key fob.
Step 1: Swing Open the Key
Press the button to swing the key up.
Step 2: Press Finger Into Open Slot
Press your finger into the slot where your key sits.
Step 3: Open Key Fob
Once you have your finger inside the slot, push the back of the fob until it pops open.
Step 4: Replace the Battery
Once you have the back off of the key fob, hold the battery with your finger. Take a screwdriver and slide it under the battery on the side where the grooves are not holding the battery in. Gently pull the screwdriver up until the battery pops out.
After you have taken the old battery out. Get your new battery, and slide it back into place underneath the grooves. Make sure to put the new battery in the same way as the old battery.
Step 5: Put the Fob Back Together
Make sure the back of the key fob is the correct direction. Align the sides and firmly press the back of the key fob with both hands until you hear a click.
Step 7: Completed Process
Now you have completed replacing the key fob battery.
