Kia Unveils Refreshed 2023 Telluride
The award-winning Telluride is one of the most popular three-row, eight-passenger SUVs in the U.S. market. It’s the perfect vehicle for adventurous drivers who don’t want to be confined to the limits of the road. The new 2023 Telluride is almost ready for release, and it brings plenty of exciting new changes.
You’ll be able to find the 2023 Kia Telluride at Lawrence Kia. Be sure to make plans to come take a test drive this summer!
The 2023 Telluride design has been updated and refreshed with American buyers in mind. The Telluride now has an especially rugged look that still maintains its sense of style. There’s a new vertical headlamp design with standard LED lights, and available foglamps. The bumpers, grille, and trim have all been redesigned, and there are new wheel designs at every level.
There are three new exterior colors available: Midnight Lake Blue, Dawning Red, and Jungle Wood Green. The interior also has new color packages available, as well as a redesigned steering wheel and dashboard.
Confident Driving in Every Situation
The Telluride is well-known for having a powerful and capable engine that will get you anywhere you need to go. The Atkinson Cycle LAMBDA II 3.8L V6 GDI engine can produce 291 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 262 lb.-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. The 8-speed automatic transmission has different settings to choose a drive mode. You can switch between Smart, Eco, Sport and Comfort modes to tailor your driving experience. AWD equipped vehicles have additional settings for Snow and AWD Lock to give your wheels the most control in difficult road conditions.
A new feature for the 2023 Telluride is Downhill Brake Control (DBC), which can help to maintain a controlled speed when descending steep roads.
Two New Trim Levels for Your Next Adventure
If you want to make the most of the off-road capabilities of the Telluride, you’ll definitely want to check out the new trim options. X-Line and X-Pro are both all-wheel drive models that offer some exclusive enhancements that you won’t see in the other Telluride trims.
The X-Pro model builds off the X-Line model, but it has its own unique design. It features 18-inch black wheels and 18-inch all-terrain tires and attention-grabbing “X-Pro” badging. “X-Pro” is embossed on the front seat upper backrest. You’ll get a 110-volt inverter outlet in the cargo area, and the towing capability is increased to 5,500 pounds, over Telluride’s usual 5000 lb capability.
The X-Line model replaces the previous Telluride Nightfall Edition. It features exclusive 20-inch wheels, a unique radiator grille design, body-color door handles, bridge-type roof rails, and “X-Line” badging with “X-Line” embossed on the front seat upper backrest. Exclusive color packages are available on this trim. It has higher ground clearance and extra options for tow modes.
New Convenience Technology and Security
The 2023 Telluride adds new technology for more ways to keep your car connected and secure.
The navigation screen has been increased to 12.3-inches from the previous 10.3 inches. A Wi-Fi Hotspot can connect up to five devices to 4G LTE-based internet. New map and navigation features make sure that you reach your destination with minimal rerouting.
Security features include stolen vehicle tracking and immobilization capability, and new ways to lock and unlock your Telluride. Digital keys can be set up with compatible smartphones, and even shared with family and friends if an extra key is needed. The Kia Access App also has options to use your phone for remote climate control, door lock/unlock and more.
New Safety Technology
Kia has long been on the cutting edge of driving assistance technology, and the 2023 Telluride offers more features than ever to help keep you safe on the road. In addition to the previous safety systems that are standard in the Telluride, there are two new standard systems. Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) can recognize speed limit signs and help keep you from going too fast. Forward Collision Avoidance has a new Junction Turning (FCA-JT) feature that can detect oncoming vehicles while turning left at an intersection. FCA-JT applies the brakes to stop the car if a collision seems likely in the intersection.
New optional available features include Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control – Curve (NSCC-C), as well as a variety of Forward Collision Assistance options. Another available feature is Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), which can help maintain speed and distance between vehicles on the highway and assist with lane changes.
Pricing and Availability
The 2023 Kia Telluride is expected to be released in the summer of 2022. The estimated MSRP will start at $37,000. Keep an eye out for updates so you can make it a part of your next family camping trip.
