Summer Photo Contest & Humane Society Pet Adoption

It is summertime fun in the Kansas City metro and what is more fun than a photo contest for a chance to win a $200 Giftcard from Lawrence Kia! While we were initially just going to have a photo contest, we decided to do something special for the community. We are partnering with the Lawrence Humane Society to feature an adoptable pet each week on Thursdays until September 15th when the photo contest is over. Make sure to come back and visit our blog to see the latest shelter pet looking for a loving home. We will also be featuring one of the Kia models on our lot as well. If you feel inspired, buy a new or used Kia, adopt the pet, take a photo and enter to win a $200 Giftcard from Lawrence Kia! It sounds like a lot of work, but I promise it can be done. I almost did it yesterday when preparing for our first post!

The contest strategically ends on Thursday, September 15th giving everyone enough time over the Labor Day weekend to do a photoshoot with your pet and your Kia. Once you have a photo, submit it to our photo contest upload page or you can simply tag your photo in social media with the #MyKiaMyPet hashtag. Also, just for good measure, call out @LawrenceKia in your post as well. We do encourage contestants to do both since it is a lot more fun this way! The winner will be announced on September 19th and be given a $200 Giftcard!.

How to Take a Pet Photo In or Around Your Kia

If you are anything like the Lawrence Kia family, we go everywhere with our pets! Stephanie who works on titles here at the dealership, she just added a new addition to her family this week. Meet Missy a 9-week old Miniature Pinscher who couldn’t stand still! I did a test run photoshoot with Missy and following are some of the photos. I took these with an iPhone 6 using the Burst Mode feature available on the iPhone 5 & 6. Essentially Burst Mode allows you to take clear action shots. The tilted head expression on Missy’s face was done using my goofy high pitch noises. I don’t even think I said her name which is a little odd. Regardless of what camera or phone you use, take a picture and submit it to the MyKiaMyPet Photo Contest!
