Top Features of the Kia Access App

The Kia Access App is essential for every Kia driver. Let’s see the best features and tricks the Kia Access App has to offer.
Climate
Start your car with three different settings; Cool, Warm, and Custom. You can also start the Defrost or the Rear defrost to ensure your car is ready to drive in just 10 minutes. There is also an option to start the heated or ventilated seats for either the driver or passenger.
Valet Mode
This mode will warn you if your car is moved further than a mile away from where you left it. You’ll never have to worry about a valet taking your car for a joy ride without knowing about it.
Find My Car
Under the Find My Car tab, a map will pop up showing your car’s location and your location. You’ll also be able to find nearby gas stations and Kia dealerships. This is really useful when you need to find a Kia dealership when you are traveling and need work done on your car.
Maintenance
On the maintenance tab, you can look at your vehicle’s status and track when you need to take your car in for a check-up. The miles and days until your next check-up is tracked, and underneath that, the checklist for that maintenance is listed. Any safety recalls, and a guide for indicator lights are added for ultimate safety. There is also an option to book an appointment with a dealership through the app for more convenience.
Safety and Security
The Safety and Security settings are useful for personal safety and for others that may be driving your car. The stolen vehicle recovery tab will show you the steps you need to take to get your car officially reported stolen. The roadside assistance tab can help you report an accident if need be.
Speed Alert, Curfew Alert and Geofence Alert
With the speed alert, you can set it to get a notification when the car goes above a certain speed. Keep someone off highways or keep them from speeding in the neighborhood. With the Curfew alert, you can set a day and time limit, and you’ll get a notification when it’s driven outside of that time limit. The Geofence Alert allows you to set a boundary that the car should stay in and alerts you when the car leaves or enters that boundary.
Remote Start Schedule
With the Remote Start Schedule, you can set your car to start warming up or cooling down at a specific time each day, so you don’t have to do it each time yourself. Set your car to start warming before you leave work each day so you don’t need to scrape the ice off your windshield.
My Trips
If you need to keep track of your miles, you can use the “My Trips” tab to skip the math and get an idea of your driving. It will show you the miles traveled, the duration of the trip, and the average speed. If you click on a specific trip, you can change the tag from personal to “business” if you need to take your mileage for work.
Kia Virtual Assistant
The virtual assistant is really useful when you can’t locate a feature in the app or if you want to learn more about a specific feature.
Owner Materials
The Kia Access app comes loaded with manuals, videos, and warranty info about your specific car. You’ll never have to worry about losing the physical manual with this feature. It also comes loaded with videos to teach you about your car’s features.
